Sashiko inspired mend
My favourite sweater (90% merino wool/10% recycled cashmere) turns out not to be made to last. After maybe 3 years it's opening up in a few places. While I was disappointed at first, I've realised I can still "mend it to last."
Here's the first big mend on the elbow and some work on the cuff drawing inspo from the commons through traditional Sashiko stitching and the mending tutorials created by Ros at repairwhatyouwear.com. I'm quite happy with it so far and I'm wearing it just as much as before!
