Assembly for a Fashion Commons: Building Solidarity Networks

We invite fashion and textile commoners – practitioners of community-based fashion – from across the world to join us to connect with likeminded people and strengthen our network of solidarity. In this participatory event, we hope to hear everyone’s voices. We’d love to know about the on-the-ground realities of your projects, ways of working and the principles and values that drive you. We’d want to know about your concerns and struggles and ideas for how to work collectively to overcome them. 

Questions we’ll ask will include: How could small scale, bio-regional, fair and regenerative clothing production become the default? How can we make these alternatives sufficiently persuasive? How could a pluriverse of fashion cultures flourish? What challenges are keeping them in the margins? What rights of fashion commoners need to be protected, and how?
